Bristol Harbour Festival Events by My Future My Choice and MV Balmoral - Young Shipwrights

Young Shipwrights Sail Boat Race

Primary School children build and sail models of the Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter. The workshops and the sailing contest are about success and happiness. The boat that sails well and goes places and stays afloat is selected as the winner.

Workshops are supported by volunteers from business, industry and retirement. They work with a team of children to explore opportunities attitudes and skills that help to build success and happiness.

School decorate their boats and sail into their future, with many children leaving primary school and starting secondary school.

Packet Boats provide the launch platform with their iconic Bristol Narrow Boat - Redshanks.

The winners of the £100 Prize a team from Nova Primary in Avonmouth
